Amazing Miracles & High Attendance at Dimasa Kachari Healing Festival
A larger than expected number of Dimasa Kacharis attended this weeks Healing Festival in Danshripar village, NE India. More than double the number of seating was required as the tent over filled, and half of the people had to sit outside.
Crowds attending
Many amazing miracles accompanied the preaching of the Word. Several paralized legs & arms, deaf ears, and blind eyes were restored. A strong spirit of repentance came on the people as they came forward to accept Christ. By God's grace the video team was able to visually document the healings.
Man now walks on his own to meeting
One lame man (pictured above) now walks to the Healing Festival. Paralized for two solid years, the first night he was carried to the meetings. After receiving prayer, strength came into his legs and he began to walk. He stood before the crowd stating, "I understand the good news message about Jesus, God's Son. He paid the price for my healing and salvation. I have repented of my sins and accepted Him. Now I am completely healed."
Rev. Daniel Hurt Leads Another Team to NE India.

During the last two weeks of outreach he will be joined by others, including newcomers Brother Michael White, and Laura Ringgenberger.
After arriving they will hold a series of Healing Festivals, outreaches among unreached people groups, and training sessions for Bible college students.

Guitar Center Donates Equipment to Himalayan Children's School
Guitar Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa shows strong support for Fire Around the World by coming alongside its Himalayan Childrens School music program.
Store manager Brandon Tsaptsinos, pictured above, holds one of the instruments headed for the Himalayans. Mr. Tsaptsinos expressed his appreciation to the community for their loyalty to his store and said; "Even though our resources are limited, I try to do all I can to give back into the community. We are excited to be a part of this."
Not only were the staff at Guitar Center CR enthusiastic, they were genuinely sincere in their efforts to help the school. While there are several inexpensive starter guitars and kits available, Mr. Tsaptsinos chose to donate higher end equipment instead.
Daniel Hurt, Director of Fire Around the World, accepts donation of a handcrafted Ibanez Guitar. In May he will be leading another team to India, where they will deliver the equipment to the school.

Rev. Phughoto Sema Ice Road Trucker Almost Killed Traveling India's Deadiliest Roads
Traveling the under developed "roads" of the NE Indian Himalayan Mountains is always a risky situation. In the remote area where we planted our school the journey is proving to be quite fatal. In 2010, on this small stretch of road alone, fifty vehicles have gone over the edge killing more than twenty people.
In a recent interview, Rev. Phughoto Sema described the current situation. "Until ten years ago there was no passage way to this region at all. Now there is a primitive road under construction. They are literally cutting the road out of the mountain side. Since there has been abundant rain this year, everything is unstable. Rockslides and washouts occur regularly and unexpectedly."

Pictured Above: Almost unrecongnizable, smashed Army vehicle. The boulder just missed Rev. Phughoto & Tosheli.
He went on to say: "A few weeks ago my wife and I were traveling to the Children's School, directly behind a military vehicle, when a rock the size of a house came down and smashed the army truck. Everyone it, including livestock were killed. Only God protected us. If it had landed only a few feet closer..........we would be dead".
Rev. Phughoto has made this risky journey twenty four times this year. Our Fire Around the World team traveled it once this year, and has scheduled two trips in 2011. Please keep your prayers up.

Rev. Phughoto Strengthens the Persecuted Church
Rev. Phughoto with Church leaders
This week Rev. Phughoto Sema returned from the Himalayan Mountains after holding meetings and strengthening the persecuted church.
In a region where staunch Buddhism has completely dominated the people for years, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is gaining ground. After several years of hard labor, seventeen churches and home fellowships have been planted.
Regional Buddhist Temple
This tremendous advancement among radical Buddhist opposition has not occurred without great cost. For most new believers it means loss of possessions, exclusion from society and family, physical torture, and sometimes loss of life. Often communities refuse to allow new Christians or churches to come up in their area.

Local Buddhist Temple
In another effort to strengthen the persecuted believers, Rev. Phughoto Sema traveled deep into the Himalayas. His trip took fourteen nonstop hours across underdeveloped mountain roads. After being warmly greeted, he gathered the regional Christian leaders and believers for a time of encouragement and training. Local believers stated, "We live in such a remote area, as Christians we often feel isolated. It is such an encouragement to us when we see others willing to sacrifice and come to such a undeveloped and backward place". In fact, Rev. Phughoto has made this difficult journey twenty four times in the past year.

Buddhist monastery with 5000 monks

Landscape covered with Buddhidt prayer flags
For centuries Buddhist temples, monasteries, shrines and prayer flags have dominated these high places in the Himalayans. What a joy it is to see the cross of Christ now raised, and His praises sang throughout these mountains. Your prayers and financial support have made thes trips and meetings possible. Thank you!
Fire Around the World Launches a Massive Self-sustaining Project in India
Churches, businesses and private individuals all across the American Midwest rally in support of an innovative missions project created by Fire Around the World.

Due to the unprecedented results from evangelizing the unreached tribes of NE India & the Himalayan region, Fire Around the World was challenged to set forth a new indigenous self- sustaining project. This is an aggressive plan aimed at funding ongoing ministry outreach and expense through commercial enterprise.

This initiative includes a three story 19,824 square foot Multi purpose complex, rubber tree plantation, and aquaculture fishery ponds.
Concrete pier & pillars
Sixty two pier footings and concrete beams are being preppared for the new building structure. It measures 120 ft. in length by 75ft. wide.
Workers hand drilling the well
A team of four men worked drilling a well for the new building. The first attempted location failed, but their second location proved productive. After more than 200 ft. deep the crew hit water.
Newest aqua culture pond.
Last fall the first Aqua culture fishery pond was completed and stocked. Now it is yielding "hand size" fish. Recently two more larger ponds were dug. The new ponds (One pictured above) are awaiting the monsoon season rain.
Himalayan Children's School Continues Impact Among Previously Unreached People Group.
Rev.Hurt and his wife Sandy visit the new building to view construction progress.
In January of 2009, working with Rev. Phughoto Sema, we planted a Christian Children's School among a previously unreached people group in the Himalayas.
The large new school has become a social centerpiece for the village.
Local villagers gather at the school for activities.
Although local village and Buddhists leaders would not allow us to build a church, they have enthusiastically welcomed the school. It has now become the social centerpiece of the village, and through its presence many are coming to know Christ. Even though the village population is only 500, we now have over 100 new believers.

New believers being baptized, March 2010
From this village we are now positioned to reach out to the other villages of this people group. Thank you for helping make this possible.

From Daniel's Desk
In 1 Corinthians 16:22 Paul ends his letter saying, "Maranatha", or "Our Lord comes". Through the years I have heard Christians say, "Come quickly Jesus", or "I wish Jesus would come", or "Jesus is coming any day or moment".
In Mathew 24:14 Jesus said, "This Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations", before He returns to set up His kingdom.
How can any one of us, like Paul, say, "Come quickly Lord Jesus", or expect His sudden appearing, until we have labored with all of our strength, like Paul did.
While America has received the "testimony of the Gospel", our task is incomplete. Many ethnic groups around the world have not heard the Gospel yet. In India alone more than 2000 ethnic groups have not had an adequate gospel witness.
Several Christians organizations like: Operation Mobilization, research and publish current statistics detailing unreached people groups. We need to continue to focus on those who have not yet heard the good news of Jesus Christ.
